Mead & Hunt: Experienced Aviation Engineering Project Manager

Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, is seeking a full-time Experienced Aviation Engineering Project Manager for our San Diego or Ontario, CA office. We have continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives, creating opportunities for our team members.

Responsibilities

1. Serve as project manager and/or project engineer on complex projects.
2. Research and recommend advances in technical software and new technology to improve efficiency.
3. Provide technical guidance to staff in your area of expertise.
4. Lead marketing pursuits, act as client contact, and manage project schedules, work in progress, and timely completion.
5. Coordinate and approve pricing, estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies.
6. Develop engineering agreements and control work-in-process.
7. Assist with contract administration.
8. Prepare or oversee reports, specifications, plans, schedules, environmental impact studies, permits, and designs.
9. Instruct technicians to convert designs into working drawings.
10. Visit construction sites to monitor progress.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

A valid driver's license and some travel are required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering from an accredited institution.
• At least 12 years of relevant experience.
• PE license is required.

Preferred Experience

• Leading aviation design and construction projects.
• Serving as project manager on aviation projects.
• Mentoring and leading engineering teams.
• Construction management.
• Contract scope and fee negotiations.

• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.
