Job summary

EA SPORTS NHL is seeking an Experience Designer II to optimize player experiences across platforms. You will translate complex needs into intuitive solutions, collaboration across disciplines, and uphold the visual identity of EA SPORTS NHL and seasonal campaigns.

Reporting to the Associate UX Director, you will help elevate usability, clarity, and emotional impact while advocating for players and driving design quality across the team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional UX experience in video game development or a similar field.
• 2+ years working with multi-platform development.
• 3+ years of professional UX design experience using Figma.
• Portfolio demonstrating impactful UX work with design process, rationale, documentation and outcomes.
• Experience designing for diverse input methods and variable performance profiles with cohesive UX.
• Knowledge of UX and interaction design principles: user flows, information hierarchy, wireframes, prototyping, and player-centric thinking.
• Experience with graphic design, layout, and gestalt principles.
• Positive, collaborative mindset with a drive to learn and improve craft.
• Bachelor-level degree in Experience Design, HCI, Psychology or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and refine player flows, wireframes, interaction patterns, and layouts to improve usability.
• Ensure multi-platform parity and high-quality player engagement across environments.
• Contribute to team discussions, share insights, and improve design quality and collaboration.
• Conduct team interviews and facilitate brainstorms or workshops with guidance.
• Advocate for UX excellence and iterate on feedback to enhance usability and emotional impact.
