Job summary

Sun Life is seeking a Manager in Expense Management within the RA&S team to allocate expenses, analyze unit costs, and drive the annual planning and forecasting cycle. You will partner with actuarial FP&A and other business units to deliver insights that influence strategic decisions.

Qualifications

5–7 years of accounting experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple deliverables while driving results.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with business partners.
Proven flexibility, adaptability and creativity to meet deadlines.
Experience with MS Excel and Hyperion; knowledge of Oracle, SAP, Essbase, Tableau.

Responsibilities

Allocate expenses by product group and provide analysis to senior management.
Prepare monthly/quarterly/ad hoc gain/gap, unit cost and commission reports.
Lead annual planning cycle and quarterly forecasts.
Lead the RA&S Expense Study (2–3 year cycle) and participate in expense deep dives.
Mentor staff and support transfer of knowledge.
