Job summary

City Of Edmonton is seeking a Property Technician to manage exhibits and police property within the Property & Exhibit Unit. The role involves careful categorization, secure storage, and disposition of court-relevant items while ensuring strict policy compliance and data integrity.

Responsibilities include processing audio/video data for disclosures, operating heavy vehicles and material-handling equipment, and delivering customer service to internal and external clients.

Qualifications

• Two-year diploma in Law Enforcement or equivalent.
• Minimum four years in a Police or Court setting.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access, Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lift/move up to 35 kg and work in high-security environments.

Responsibilities

• Take in, categorize, locate, protect and disposition of exhibits and property.
• Ensure accountability and safe handling of evidence in the Property & Exhibit Unit.
• Review/copy audio/video data for Crown/court disclosures and data entry into databases.
• Safely operate City of Edmonton vehicles and forklifts as required.
• Provide customer service to police members, owners, finders and claimants.
