Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Kinesiology (BKin) is required.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Experience implementing exercise programs for pulmonary disease is an asset.
  • Clinical Exercise Physiologist/ACSM or CSEP credentials are assets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, and deliver individual and group community-based exercise programming for patients with cardiovascular, pulmonary, metabolic diseases, and other disease-specific exercise needs.
  • Deliver fall prevention education and support hospital discharges.
  • Report to the Manager for day-to-day duties and collaborate with the Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialty Clinic team.

Job Description: This position reports to he Manager for direction in day-to-day duties. The Exercise/Conditioning Therapist - Degree is responsible for the development, modification, and delivery of individual and group community-based exercise programming for patients with cardiovascular disease, pulmonary disease, metabolic disease, and other disease specific exercise programming. The Exercise/ Conditioning Therapist - Degree will need to deliver fall prevention education and exercise, facilitate and support hospital discharges. \"Preference for this position will be given to HSAS membersin accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement\"
