Job Summary
Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.
The Office of the Clerk is seeking an organized, proactive, and discerning individual for the regular full-time position of Executive Operations Coordinator.
Reporting to the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly, the Executive Operations Coordinator (Coordinator) provides executive-level administrative, logistical, and operational support to ensure the efficient functioning of the Office of the Clerk. The role manages information flow, correspondence, and scheduling, exercising sound judgment and discretion in a fast-paced, high-profile environment. This position serves as the primary contact for the Clerk and services as a critical liaison with the Office of the Speaker, leadership teams, and internal departments and groups. Responsibilities include overseeing administrative staff, supporting policy compliance, and contributing to strategic projects and process improvements. Strong relationship management, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate sensitive issues are essential to this role.
