Job description

G3 Goldfields Inc. is a Canadian mineral exploration company preparing for a public listing.

The G3 management team has extensive experience in mineral exploration, public-company management, capital markets and corporate transactions. Following the closing of the three billion dollar transaction between G Mining Ventures and G2 Goldfields Inc., the team is focused on building and advancing G3 Goldfields.

We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated early-career professional to join the team in Toronto and work closely with senior management across corporate development, strategic projects and executive priorities.

This is not a traditional administrative position. It is an early-career development opportunity for an individual who is interested in building a career in mining, mineral exploration, corporate development, capital markets and the management of Canadian public companies.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will gain direct exposure to a broad range of corporate and mineral exploration activities, working closely with senior management on initiatives that may include:

  • Researching mining projects, commodities, companies and industry trends
  • Assisting with the identification, evaluation and analysis of potential projects and business opportunities
  • Supporting corporate development initiatives, due diligence and project evaluation
  • Reviewing and organizing geological, technical, financial and corporate information
  • Assisting in the preparation of management presentations, corporate materials and investor information
  • Supporting investor relations and capital-markets activities
  • Assisting with public-company reporting, corporate governance and other corporate requirements
  • Coordinating with geologists, consultants, lawyers, brokers, investors and other industry professionals
  • Supporting strategic and operational projects as the Company grows
  • Preparing meeting materials, capturing key actions and ensuring appropriate follow-up on management priorities
  • Supporting senior management with selected executive-office responsibilities, including meetings, correspondence, scheduling and travel
  • Maintaining corporate records, project information and management files
  • Taking on additional responsibilities and special projects as the needs of the business evolve

The successful candidate will work closely with members of the senior management team. The specific balance of corporate development, strategic projects and executive-office responsibilities will evolve with the needs of the business and the individual’s strengths and development.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an intelligent, energetic and highly motivated individual at the beginning of their professional career who wants to develop within the mining industry.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, preferably in Geology, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, Mineral Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business or a related discipline
  • Recent graduate status or approximately 2 years of professional experience
  • Strong analytical, research and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
  • Professional judgment, discretion and the ability to handle confidential information
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take responsibility beyond a narrowly defined job description
  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally, including to mining projects, conferences and corporate meetings

Previous mining-industry experience is an asset but not required.

Why Join G3 Goldfields?

This position provides an unusual opportunity for an early-career professional to work closely with experienced executives involved in building, financing and advancing a public mineral exploration company.

Rather than being limited to one technical or administrative function, the successful candidate will gain exposure to mineral exploration, corporate development, project evaluation, finance, investor relations, public-company operations and capital markets.

The role is designed for someone who wants to learn quickly, take on increasing responsibility and develop a broad understanding of how a mining company is built and operated.

For the right individual, the position offers significant exposure to senior decision-making and the opportunity to develop into a broader role within G3 Goldfields as the Company grows.

Compensation

G3 Goldfields offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with the successful candidate’s education, experience and capabilities.

The compensation package may include base salary, performance-based compensation and participation in the Company’s equity incentive program, subject to applicable corporate and regulatory approvals.

G3 Goldfields Inc. is committed to providing equal employment opportunities and welcomes applications from qualified candidates.
