This is a full-time position, and the hours will be days, evenings and weekends, depending on hotel business levels. Applicants must be available for day and afternoon shifts.

JobSummary:Manages the operationof the housekeepingand laundry departmentsto ensure orderly and attractive conditions in the hotel. Promotes an atmosphere of cleanliness and superior customer care for hotel guests.

JobDuties:

• Hires,trainsandevaluatesdepartmentpersonnel.
• Directs allactivities ofthehousekeeping andlaundry departments infurnishingdailyserviceto guest rooms andpublic areas.Schedules duties, suchasheavy cleaning, mattress rotations,etc.
• Preparesworkschedulesforstaffbasedonprojectedoccupancy.
• Inspectpremises,guestrooms,linenrooms,andpublic areastoassureemployees maintain the property's superior standards of housekeeping.
• Maintainsaninventoryofguestandhousekeeping suppliesandlinen,orderingreplacementof supplies and equipment as needed.
• Createsaserviceenvironment focusedontheguest, withapassion forhighstandards in cleanliness.Responds promptly to customer needs.
• Identifiesandresolvesproblems inatimelymanner anddevelopsalternativesolutions.
• Coordinates stafftraining,includingMSDS,OSHA,andsafetypolicies.
• Maintainslostandfound.
• Performsroomattendantduties,whenrequired.
• Performsotherdutiesasassigned.

Qualifications:

• Highschooldiplomaorequivalent.
• Threeyearspriorhotelhousekeepingexperience. Supervisoryexperiencedesired.
• Basicaccounting,purchasingandinventoryskills.
• Abilitytomulti-taskandprioritize.
• Excellentcommunicationandcustomerservice skills.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
