Job summary

Pat and the Elephant in Charlottetown, PEI, seeks an Executive Director to provide strategic leadership and oversee day-to-day operations, HR, and community relations, reporting to the Board of Directors.

The ED will lead budgeting, fundraising, governance, and program delivery, ensure compliance, mentor senior staff, and advance accessible transportation initiatives while fostering an inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience in transportation, public service or similar organizations.
• Strong financial management, grant administration and fundraising experience.
• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on management.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning aligned with mission and vision.
• Oversee day-to-day operations, HR and governance.
• Manage budgeting, financial monitoring, reporting and fundraising.
