Job description

The Juniper Foundation is a Toronto-based, family-led philanthropic organization with an endowment, committed to protecting and restoring the natural environment. Focused on protecting vulnerable ecosystems and restoring degraded landscapes, the Foundation supports impactful initiatives in Canada and globally through strategic philanthropy, education, and advocacy. Its priorities include the preservation and restoration of biodiverse ecosystems threatened by climate change, habitat loss, and species extinction. The Foundation works to advance long-term environmental solutions.

Position: Executive Director

The Juniper Foundation is seeking its inaugural Executive Director (ED), responsible for translating the founders’ vision into a dynamic and focused strategy. Reporting directly to the Board and working collaboratively with the CFO and the founding family, who remain actively engaged in the foundation’s direction, the ED will lead the organization in its mission of global preservation and restoration of biodiverse ecosystems. The role involves providing strategic leadership, setting a clear vision, and ensuring effective implementation of the Foundation's initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to lead a well-capitalized foundation at a pivotal moment in its evolution, shaping its strategic direction, deepening its impact, and building transformative partnerships in Canada and beyond.
