Executive Director – Information Technology and Cyber Security – Waterloo, ON – Permanent

What You Will Be Doing, as an Executive Director :
- Develop and execute annual work plans aligned with digital strategic priorities
- Mentor, coach and guide IT teams to ensure alignment with business goals
- Design and implement robust IT strategies and infrastructure
- Lead adoption and integration of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Process Automation, and Machine Learning
- Ensure compliance with relevant privacy, legal and data governance frameworks
- Oversee enterprise-wide communication and information systems
- Support both on-premise and cloud-based system environments
- Align IT initiatives with organizational priorities and performance targets
- Manage budgeting, supplier relationships and cost efficiency in IT operations
- Foster collaboration with stakeholders and build strong internal partnerships
- Support company-wide strategic planning, reporting and digital transformation
- Maintain governance and compliance through robust IT and cybersecurity policies
- Lead the execution of business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Drive awareness and continuous improvement in cybersecurity practices
- Manage enterprise applications, vendor relationships and technology lifecycle
- Oversee data strategy, analytics platforms and reporting frameworks
- Guide the optimization of network infrastructure and Microsoft-based environments
- Align IT support with Information Technology Infrastructure Library principles and service excellence
- Supervise recruitment, performance reviews, training and staff development in IT
- Participate in internal and external committees, workshops and advisory groups
- Travel within Ontario as needed
What You Should Have, as an Executive Director
- A college diploma or university degree in computer science, IT infrastructure, health informatics or information management
- Working knowledge of EMR software, Microsoft SaaS platforms (Office 365, Azure, AWS)
- Proven experience implementing new large scale systems such as EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems strongly preferred
- Experience in change management required
- Strong knowledge of cyber security, VOIP and networking technologies
- Minimum 5-8 years of supervisory experience within IT leadership roles
- Healthcare sector experience is a strong asset
- Experience handling sensitive personal and health information in compliance
- PMP and / or ITIL certification preferred
- Security and cloud certifications (e.g. CISA, CISM, CISSP) are an asset
- Demonstrated customer-first problem solving
- Collaborative and supportive leadership style
