Job summary

Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc (TteS) seeks an Executive Director to lead a new Cmelám̓cten House of Healing. The ED will provide strategic direction, governance, financial management, and community engagement to support survivors and intergenerational families in a culturally grounded, Secwépemc-centered approach.

The role requires building partnerships, ensuring TRC/UNDRIP/DRIPA alignment, and guiding programs that integrate land-based healing and Secwépemc teachings while maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications

  • Experience leading complex organizations or programs in Indigenous governance contexts.
  • Ability to translate TRC/UNDRIP/DRIPA calls to action into actionable program and governance plans.
  • Strong financial stewardship, budgeting, reporting, and grant management.
  • Experience building culturally safe, trauma-informed, land-based healing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and governance oversight for Cmelám̓cten.
  • Oversee program design, delivery, and evaluation with cultural grounding.
  • Manage financial planning, budgeting, and funding partnerships.
  • Lead community engagement, partnerships, and stakeholder communications.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, ethics, privacy, and reporting requirements.
  • Support staff, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and survivors with respectful governance.
