Job summary

The Food Processing Sectoral Workforce Committee (CSMOTA) in Quebec City seeks a seasoned executive to oversee strategic, operational and financial management under the board's direction. Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant discipline (HR management, industrial relations, administration, food science/engineering).
• Minimum of 5 years management experience or equivalent.
• Experience under a board of directors is an asset.
• Experience in resource development and knowledge of government mechanisms and the food industry is preferred.
• Strong analytical capacity and strategic vision.
• Dynamic leader with mobilizing leadership and excellent organizational skills.
• Strong French communication skills (written and spoken); English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of strategic orientations defined by the board.
• Plan, coordinate, direct and monitor activities within approved mandates, policies and budgets.
• Manage human, financial and material resources of the Committee.
• Represent the organization to partners, donors and network stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sector players to identify training and HR needs and promote the sector.
• Maintain a healthy, respectful, inclusive work climate conducive to professional development.
