Surrey Food Bank seeks an Executive Director to build on a strong foundation, guiding staff, volunteers, and programs while nurturing partnerships across diverse communities. • Progressive senior leadership experience in not-for-profit organizations.
• Experience with poverty reduction or food security is an asset.
• Experience working with a Board of Directors within a governance framework.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic and annual plans.
• Strong people management and team-building skills.
• Proven ability to secure funds from individuals, foundations, and government.
• Knowledge of current community challenges related to the mission.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Occasional evening/weekend work; regular presence in office with flexibility to work from home when possible.
• Bachelor’s degree or professional designation; related education/experience considered.

Responsabilidades

• Lead strategic planning with the Board and translate strategy into action.
• Oversee staff, volunteers, and operational programs.
• Develop and execute fundraising plans to grow resources.
• Build partnerships with community groups, funders, and government.
• Ensure financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes are sound.
• Provide leadership in risk management and governance.
• Represent the organization publicly as a spokesperson.
