Job summary

Open Studio, Toronto’s artist-run printmaking centre, seeks an Executive Director to guide its next chapter as a non-profit. This full-time role leads strategic planning, fundraising, budgeting and operations, with a focus on accessibility and equity.

Reporting to the Board, you will manage a small team, sustain financial health, and strengthen relationships with artists and partners to support Open Studio’s mission and programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in artist-run centres or non-profits.
• Strong knowledge of the arts and culture sector.
• Experience managing staff and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of full-time staff overseeing programming, education, exhibitions and sales.
• Oversee recruitment, compensation, training and performance evaluation.
• Develop staffing policies and maintain staff communications.
• Maintain relationships with studio members, artists and partners.
• Act as spokesperson for Open Studio in art communities nationally and internationally.
