A well-established organization is seeking an Executive Director to provide strategic leadership and oversight of operations. Position : Executive Director (English / French is a must)Location : Ottawa (Hybrid work environment) Salary : A competitive salary, generous RRSP direct contribution, group benefits, four week's vacationAbout the Role : As Executive Director of a National Association, you provide strategic leadership, oversee operations, and drive the organization's mission in alignment with the policies set by the Board of Directors. You are a highly collaborative leader, recognized for your integrity, responsiveness, and ability to foster respect across all levels of the organization. Ideal if you are an association professional currently at a Manager or Director level looking for that next steps as an Executive Director. Key Responsibilities : - Collaborate with the Board of Directors in developing a vision and strategic plan to guide the organization.- Monitor and analyze internal and external factors that impact the organization, providing strategic insights and recommendations to the Board.- Ensure confidentiality, security, and ethical handling of all organizational data and documents.- Cultivate strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including provincial association, policymakers, funding bodies to advance the organization's mission and influence sector-wide policies.- Implement and maintain financial oversight, ensuring adherence to best practices in accounting and reporting.- Monitor day-to-day delivery of the programs, services of the organization to maintain or improve quality.- Oversee human resources and foster a positive healthy and safe work environment in accordance with all appropriate HR legislation and regulations.- Identify and evaluate the risks to the organization's people (members, staff, management, volunteers), property, finances, goodwill, and image and implement measures to control risks.- Act as subject expert regarding board governance.Qualifications : - A bachelor's degree and / or a CAE professional designation.- Ten years of progressive senior management experience in nonprofit working closely with a Board of Directors.- A decisive leader who thrives in a small team environment; enjoys strategic decision-making and day-to-day operations, adaptable, and committed to driving success through collaboration and leadership within the team and external stakeholders.- Drive revenue to enhance financial sustainability. - Strong bookkeeping skills, experience in budget development and oversight.- Bilingual, excellent communication skills in English and French.For more information, please forward your resume in confidence to [emailprotected] A PERM HIRE AND EARN UP TO $1,000!
