Job summary

Step into a leadership role at BGC Dawson as our next Executive Director , where your work will touch lives across generations. A proud member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada (BGC Canada), BGC Dawson is a bilingual non-profit organization rooted in the English-speaking community of Verdun since 1959. We offer a welcoming and inclusive space that provides high-quality educational, recreational, and social programs to children, youth, families, and seniors.

As Executive Director, you will report to the Board of Directors and lead our team with vision and integrity. You will be responsible for the overall strategic and operational leadership of the organization, including fund development, human resources, financial management, communications, partnerships, and the execution of BGC Dawson’s mission, vision, and values.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Foster effective teamwork between the Board, staff, and community stakeholders.
  • Supervise staff and manage HR, including labour relations.
  • Oversee financial operations : budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and risk management.
  • Lead strategic planning and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain funding relationships, including grant writing and resource development.
  • Represent BGC Dawson publicly and cultivate strong partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

You have :

  • A post-secondary degree in Social Sciences, Public or Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership position within a non-profit organization.
  • A strong track record in program development, fundraising, and community development.
  • Proven skills in staff leadership, coaching, and managing high-performing teams.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting and resource management.
  • Experience in public relations, marketing, and communications.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A commitment to equity, inclusion, and the values of BGC Dawson.
  • A valid First Aid / CPR certification and a clear Vulnerable Sector Check (VAPV).
