A non-profit organization in Ontario seeks an Executive Director to lead their community-driven initiatives. This part-time role involves overseeing operations and finances, and engaging with community partners to enhance book distribution for children. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, with a commitment to inclusivity and advocacy. Compensation is $40/hr for approximately 24 hours per week, with flexibility in hours.
County Kids Read is a non-profit corporation with a 15 year history serving Prince Edward County families. Every month, we distribute over 600 free high-quality books to children aged 0-12 at community events and through established relationships with 13 community partners serving lower-income families and other children facing challenges. The joy and benefits of book ownership is what makes our approach unique. Our purpose is to secure every County kid’s right to enjoy the benefits of their very own books.
Position Summary:
The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors. Work is generally performed offsite, with occasional meetings and miscellaneous work at the County Kids Read Book Room at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 335 Main St. E in Picton. This position is considered contract part-time at 24 hours per week.
