Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with flexibility required based on operational needs.

Job Description

How You’ll MakeanImpact:

  • Manage food service operations while leading a dynamic culinary team
  • Provide oversight of multiple food outlets—including resident dining/long-term care dining, retail/vending,
  • Oversee cost control and budgeting
  • Hire, train and develop culinary team
  • Use creativity in menu planning
  • Drive a standard and consistency in food and food service delivery
  • Create a safe, inclusive workplace environment
  • Build and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship including high levels of client and customer satisfaction and account retention; strong interpersonal relations; and foster a strong safety culture
  • Manage Food Complaints by residents and families by following associated steps and follow ups.
  • Present in Care conference for any queries related to Food production by the family members.
  • Ensure compliance of all Company standards and Provincial/Federal Legislation including Fixing LTC act.
Qualifications

What You’ll Need toSucceed:

  • Red Seal certification
  • Solid understanding of nutrition, including dietary needs in senior living and long-term care environments
  • Knowledge of texture-modified meals, thickened fluids, and special diets
  • Proven success in managing food services operations in a busy setting
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a culinary leadership role
  • Strong team building, mentorship, and coaching skills
  • Menu development experience
  • Customer service oriented
  • Experience working with seniors is an asset
  • Familiarity with unionized environments and working with diverse cultural teams
  • Knowledge of multiple international cuisines
  • High-end dining and catering experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial information related to food, menu, and labour costing
