Job description

Reporting to the General Manager, the Chef will be accountable for delivering the highest levels of customer and food service across the location. The role involves ensuring the location meets and exceeds its sales targets by offering innovative food options, promotional activities, and excellent customer service. The Chef will achieve annual budget goals through effective execution of company programs and personal accountability. Focusing on team development, safety, and client relations, the Chef will lead with a hands-on approach to business operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellence in food and customer service
  • Develop innovative menus strategically for the location
  • Implement company initiatives related to service, food, and safety at a high standard
  • Develop and expand catering services
  • Supervise personnel regarding production, merchandising, quality, cost control, labor, scheduling, staffing, and training
  • Train and develop team members for outstanding customer service
  • Identify and nurture talent within the team
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and food safety standards
  • Monitor financial results to meet company and client objectives
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial reporting across all sectors
  • Keep records in accordance with Aramark and government standards
  • Ensure compliance with Marketing and Human Resources policies
  • Adhere to Aramark’s policies, procedures, and health and safety programs

Qualifications

  • Red Seal or equivalent certification
  • Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
  • Proficiency with computers and operational systems
  • Self-directed with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
