In anticipation of opening in the Fall of , we are searching for an Executive Chef to join our new Parkland at the Common team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity

  • Selects, shapes, and develops the culinary team
  • Providing leadership and overseeing provision of food services
  • Providing catering services for internal and external events
  • Providing input into division menu development
  • Liaising with the Health Services Team to ensure client receive the appropriate therapeutic menu modification as indicated by their medical condition

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring :

  • Journeyman Cook papers from an accredited institution
  • Current and recognized Food Safety certificate
  • Minimum of two years in a leadership role in food services
  • Experience in volume food preparation in the hospitality or long-term care sector
  • Previous management experience is an asset, as well as any other Alzheimer’s or Dementia training courses are considered an asset
