Location: Ottawa, Canada (Hybrid Mode*)

Step into the opportunity:

As the Executive Assistant to the Vice-President, you will be joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion and equity while being responsible for:

  • Providing high-level administrative and operational support to the Vice-President and the Office of the Vice-President (OVP).
  • Coordinating internal operations by managing schedules, meetings, correspondence, travel, and information systems.
  • Supporting the Branch management team in organizing cross-Branch activities, onboarding processes, and leadership meetings.
  • Aggregating and synthesizing information from across the Branch to support informed decision-making by the Vice-President.
  • Contributing to corporate processes by reviewing policy documentation, ensuring compliance, and liaising with key external stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the position or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Proficiency in both French and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant, hands-on experience in a similar role, with at least five (5) years in positions supporting senior leaders preferably in the public or not-for-profit sector.
  • An in-depth understanding of executive-level administrative operations with hands-on experience in planning, organizing, and coordinating daily activities while paying close attention to details.
  • Advanced skills in document preparation and editing, logistics coordination for meetings and travel, information and records management (e.g., SharePoint), and in preparing and reviewing travel and expense reports in compliance with policy.
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in the Centre’s mission and work as it relates to International Development.

Additional Information:
  • *Hybrid Mode: The Centre provides a hybrid work environment, and your presence at the office is governed by the teleworking policy. Due to the specific nature of this position, the individual will be required to work 3 days per week in the office.
  • As a result of this process, the Centre may establish a pool of pre-qualified candidates for future permanent and term opportunities requiring the same competencies.
