Executive Assistant to the President & CEO

Our client is a North American leader in the building materials space.

Position Scope :

Our client is seeking a dynamic Executive Assistant to the President & CEO to provide strategic and operational support in a fast-paced, transforming business environment. This elevated role combines traditional Executive Assistant responsibilities with elements of a Chief of Staff role, requiring a candidate who is proactive, tech-savvy, and capable of contributing to strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate will act as the President & CEO’s trusted partner, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across the organization, managing board-level interactions, refining presentations, and staying attuned to innovative business tools.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Act as the President & CEO’s right hand, collaborating on key priorities and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage the office, ensuring seamless operations, confidentiality, and excellence in all activities.
  • Refine and develop executive-level presentations, ensuring clarity and substance.
  • Serve as the President’s "eyes and ears" while traveling extensively, keeping a pulse on organizational dynamics.
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for board meetings, maintaining direct contact with board members.
  • Leverage advanced technology tools and platforms to enhance processes and decision-making.
  • Communicate effectively with executives, board members, industry partners, associations and internal team members, ensuring alignment across key stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic input and support for initiatives, helping the President stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Facilitate and manage projects, ensuring timely execution and high-quality outcomes.
  • Uphold absolute integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in all interactions.

Skills & Qualifications :

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Keen business acumen.
  • Advanced proficiency with modern tools and platforms, including AI applications.
  • Advanced quantitative skills.
  • High energy, a proactive approach, and a sense of urgency in executing tasks.
  • Very strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the executive team, board members, and other stakeholders.
  • Professional demeanor, integrity, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior leadership in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.

Education and Experience :

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior-level support role, such as an Executive Assistant or similar position.
  • University degree preferred.
  • Fluency in French could be a strong asset.
  • Experience managing board-level communications and materials.
  • Proven track record of working effectively with executives in a high-pressure environment.
