About CCMBC

The Canadian Conference of MB Churches (CCMBC) is the national Conference for MB Churches in Canada. CCMBC exists to resource its churches through partnerships with six provincial conferences in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. This Canadian Conference has also established national agencies whose joint mission is to provide services to Canadian MB Churches. The national agencies are MB Seminary, Legacy, and Multiply. Furthermore, CCMBC offers services and resources through its internal departments, such as the Centre for MB Studies and Kindred Productions.

Employment opportunity: Executive Assistant to the CCMBC National Director

CCMBC is looking for a full-time Executive Assistant. They are looking for someone who enjoys serving people, has a positive attitude and a prayerful approach to ministry. They should have a working knowledge of our denomination. They, along with the rest of the CCMBC staff, seek to serve our CCMBC family of agencies, provinces and churches.

We’re seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a servant’s heart, a positive attitude, and a prayerful approach to ministry. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of our denomination and enjoy collaborating with leaders, board members, and staff. The successful candidate is skilled in managing details, event planning, and proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. Experience in working with Mailchimp, polling platforms and Website maintenance would be beneficial. There will be some travel expectations. Wages will be determined based on experience and skill set.

Though primarily based in Winnipeg, MB, a significant aspect of this role involves connecting with the National Director in Abbotsford, BC through online collaboration tools. Occasional travel is required.

Staff in this position must identify with and represent the Christian motivation and mission of CCMBC.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Calendar Oversight: Efficiently manage schedules, including meetings, appointments, and travel plans to ensure optimal time use.
  • Communication Handling: Serve as the primary gatekeeper for emails, phone calls, and other communications on behalf of the executive.
  • Meeting Preparation & Follow-Up: Coordinate meetings by setting agendas, taking detailed minutes, and distributing relevant materials.
  • Administrative Operations: Oversee document management, draft reports, and handle day-to-day correspondence.
  • Travel Coordination: Arrange transportation, lodging, and detailed itineraries to support seamless travel experiences.
  • Point of Contact: Act as a liaison between the executive and internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Project Assistance: Provide support on key initiatives and special projects as needed.
  • Office Administration: Maintain office supplies, manage equipment, and support smooth office operations.

Team Dynamic

The successful candidate will participate fully and positively within the team structures of CCMBC, including:

  • Attending regular staff meetings (onsite and virtual)
  • Participation in CCMBC’s strategy and visioning
  • Attend CCMBC events as required–some of which occur on weekends or evenings. In such circumstances, the employee will be granted compensation in the form of time off in lieu.
