Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to provide dedicated support to our Chief Revenue Officer and Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications. The incumbent is a critical thinker and exceptional communicator, with the ability to manage a high-volume schedule, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, and ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced environment. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance as this individual will work with sensitive information across a variety of tasks including business strategy, revenue generation, and contracts. A natural relationship builder and collaborator, this individual works efficiently and effectively to achieve results. Responsibilities

  • Executive Support: Provide high-level administrative support, including calendar management, travel coordination, expense reporting, email communication, and meeting preparation.
  • Meeting Coordination: Schedule, organize, and attend internal and external meetings; prepare agendas, take meeting notes, and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between the Executive and internal teams, external partners, sponsors, and stakeholders.
  • Project Assistance: Help manage and track strategic initiatives across sponsorship, licensing, events, and other revenue-related functions.
  • Confidentiality & Discretion: Handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Document Preparation: Draft and edit reports, presentations, and internal communications on behalf of the Executive.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination: Work closely with Marketing, Partnerships, Sales, Finance, and Legal to streamline executive-level operations and meetings.
  • Event and Travel Logistics: Organize Executive participation in league events, partner activations, and industry conferences.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 3+ years of progressively responsible experience as an Executive Assistant reporting to a C-level executive.
  • Post-secondary degree / diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience within the sports & entertainment industry is a definite asset, but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – skillful at building and fostering internal and external relationships.
  • Experience attending meetings, taking minutes, and creating proactive action plans.
  • Takes initiative and works effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excels in fast-paced environments through strong attention to detail, organizational, prioritization and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Other Considerations

  • Hybrid Model: The incumbent will be required to attend the office in accordance with the CFL Hybrid Work Policy or as required by the Executive. In addition, all employees are required to attend meetings and other business events at the office or other venues as business needs dictate.
  • Work Schedule: Due to the nature of the business, the incumbent must be available and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Travel: Travel may be required.
