Position Summary:
The Assistant to the President provides high-level administrative and operational support to the President/CEO, serving as a trusted aide and liaison with internal and external stakeholders. This role involves managing schedules, preparing materials, handling confidential information, and ensuring the President’s time and communications are effectively prioritized and managed.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the President’s calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel arrangements.
Serve as the primary point of contact between the President and internal/external stakeholders.
Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents on behalf of the President.
Attend meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
Coordinate strategic initiatives and special projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
Maintain confidential files and records.
Facilitate effective communication and information flow across departments and with board members.
Assist with event planning, public relations, and high-profile engagements.
Conduct research and compile briefing materials for meetings and public appearances.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
3+ years of experience in executive support or related administrative roles.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other productivity tools.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Professional demeanor and the ability to work with all levels of an organization.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a fast-paced executive office or nonprofit leadership environment.
Project management experience.
Knowledge of the organization’s industry, mission, or strategic priorities.
Work Environment:
This position may require occasional travel and availability outside standard office hours. Hybrid or remote work may be considered based on organizational policies.
