Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating large scale production systems.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, state management, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with enterprise software deployment, updates, and version management.
• Track record of building performant applications with excellent error handling and recovery.
• Excellence in debugging complex integration issues and memory/performance optimization.
• Ability to mentor teams and establish development best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build the Excel Experience: Develop and ship production-grade features for the Excel plugin that integrate AlphaSense's capabilities while respecting Excel's performance and stability requirements.
• Navigate Complex Integration: Work with Excel's object model, calculation engine, and event system to deliver features that feel native while accessing cloud-based intelligence.
• Optimize Relentlessly: Make complex operations feel instantaneous, manage memory carefully, and ensure the plugin never slows down Excel.
• Uphold Best Practices: Follow and contribute to team standards for development, testing, deployment, and monitoring of Office plugins, and support junior engineers through code reviews and pairing.
