Cumberland Paving and Contracting, part of Miller Paving Atlantic based in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, offers road construction, paving, rehabilitation, engineering construction, aggregate materials, highway operations, and maintenance services to public and private sectors.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 1-2 years experience operating a small excavator
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Ability to travel with the crew throughout the local area
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in landscape prep and smaller excavations, e.g., asphalt repairs
  • Experience with shoring and trench boxes
Day in the Life

Calling all heavy equipment operators for a seasonal role! You will operate 5 to 13-ton excavators, performing tasks such as trench digging, land grading, and material lifting. Responsibilities include ensuring proper trench depth/grade, performing fluid checks, routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs. Pre-operational checks, maintenance records, and daily logs are also essential.
