Everyday Banking Advisor (English / Mandarin OR English / Cantonese)

Our client, a Big 5 Bank, is actively seeking to hire "Everyday Banking Advisors" to join their teams in Vancouver, BC.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to work with a Big 5 Bank on a contract basis.

Duties

• Handle 40-60 inbound calls per shift, addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
• Assist with everyday banking questions, account openings, password changes, credit card charge inquiries, etc.
• Respond empathetically to client questions, support banking solutions, and resolve concerns at first contact.
• Support team success by helping colleagues meet client needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with partners to promote teamwork.
• Adhere to compliance routines, processes, and controls to manage risks and protect client and shareholder interests.
• Educate clients on using digital banking capabilities.

MUST HAVES

• Fluency in English and Mandarin OR English and Cantonese (reading and verbal skills required). Language skills will be assessed.
• At least 6 months of call centre or phone-based customer service experience handling high call volumes (40+ per day).
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends.
• Ability to work on a hybrid schedule (1 day in office per week).
• Proven ability to build rapport and maintain client relationships, preferably in financial or service industries, working independently and in teams.

• Self-motivated with strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional client service skills, confident in engaging clients via phone, video, and other channels with a friendly, professional tone.
• Digital literacy across devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops) with strong keyboarding, internet, and multitasking skills.
• Interest in mobile and digital devices, with the ability to guide clients in self-serve applications.
• Passion for creating exceptional client experiences and helping clients meet their immediate needs.

Pay Range: $24.00 - $25.00/hr

This is a hybrid position based in Vancouver, BC.
