Position Summary

Under the direction of security supervisors and managers, the incumbent provides basic security coverage ensuring that adequate protection is provided for the safety of patrons and team members. Safeguards the assets of the organization as well as those of its guests and team members. Promotes an outgoing, friendly guest-oriented demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Alcohol Gaming Commission Ontario (AGCO) regulations.
  • Ensure proper security for all transfers of monies within the organization.
  • Assist patrons with inquiries, including providing information about the property and events, giving directions, and escorting them if necessary.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports clearly and precisely.
  • Patrol casino areas to establish security presence and report unusual or suspicious situations.
  • Assist in coordinating and resolving emergencies.
  • Maintain proper key control procedures.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to responsible gaming and alcohol service by discreetly notifying managers of concerns.
  • Reinforce the company's Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, and Passion through actions and behaviors.
  • Promptly notify managers of any illegal acts or ethical concerns.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Create an atmosphere that encourages guests to choose Hard Rock for gaming entertainment; actively build and retain guest relations; mentor team members to provide superior guest service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience, Certifications, Education:

  • A minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Law and Security is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications.
  • Current First Aid / CPR Certificate.
  • Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Previous gaming experience or knowledge of the gaming industry is a plus.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to walk distances.
  • Must frequently lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in a highly regulated environment, with some duties on the Casino Floor, which may involve exposure to noise and other environmental factors.
