Your opportunity:

The Event Coordinator plays a major role in delivering high-quality events, working closely with units across the faculty to oversee event logistics, including cost estimates, catering, and room bookings.

The successful candidate will conceptualize, organize, and execute event activities, adhering to faculty policies and procedures, and coordinate the schedule for program and event calendars. They will also resolve issues that may occur during events and conduct post-event evaluations.

Responsibilities:
  • Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners
  • Conceptualizing, organizing, and executing event activities
  • Overseeing event plans and activities
  • Developing content for marketing materials
  • Collaborating on cost estimates
  • Directing casual staff
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three years of event planning experience
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and website management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Superior organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to conceptualize and deliver events that meet strategic goals
Assets (Nonessential):
  • Familiarity with the University of Toronto and post-secondary education system
