Events Assistant – Mountain Creek

Location : Vernon, NJ | Reporting to : Sales Coordinator

About Mountain Creek : Mountain Creek, a four-season resort, offers skiing / snowboarding, bike park, waterpark, weddings, mountain coaster, restaurants, and lodge.

How the Events Assistant works with the Team : The Part-Time Events Assistant provides leadership and coordination of Wedding and Corporate Events. Maintains contact with vendors during event planning and acts as a liaison with guests to gather pertinent information. Works closely with the Hospitality Sales Manager to ensure all event details are met.

Team Member Responsibilities :

  • Event Planning & Execution
  • Research opportunities within and outside the resort for creating innovative events and experiences
  • Liaise with clients to identify needs and ensure satisfaction
  • Assist with event concept building and theme development
  • Manage all event materials and execution items
  • Assist with menu and drink customization
  • Support all phases of event preparation, execution, and post-event wrap-up
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management

Team Member Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience in event planning, organization, and execution
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and under strict deadlines
  • Outstanding interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management in Excel
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace tools for collaboration
  • Motivated and hardworking
