Job Details


Wage range: $20 hourly
Shift structure: Monday to Friday, 6 hours per day
Primary location:Hybrid
Union: Exempt

Status:Temporary, June 16 to August 19, 2025

About the Role
Reporting to the Philanthropy Officer, Engagement and Events, the Philanthropy Officer, Event Support will support CASA’s event season by helping to manage logistics and fundraising, stewardship and impact reporting. The role will also support donor, community and other partner events as required. Delivering a high level of service to our donors and partners, this role is involved in meaningful events that engage our community and bring Albertans closer to CASA’s vision and mission.

The Philanthropy Officer, Event Support will:
  • Work with team members and coordinate internally to help execute CASA’s events, ensuring effective administration and sound fiscal management of program goals and objectives.
  • Support the Philanthropy Officer, Community Fundraising as required.
  • Execute and manage critical paths for events as required.
  • Assist in the fulfilment of partnerships for events and ensure timely payment of pledges.
  • Steward event partners, participants, donors and volunteers before, during and after events.
  • Support the Philanthropy team as required.
  • Help manage event budgets.

Qualifications
  • Experience working in a non-profit environment, with event fundraising experience as an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a high-volume work environment.
  • Interest in helping to streamline processes and protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset and a solutions-focused view.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.
  • Invested interest in children and youth mental health and a dedication to promoting fundraising priorities.
  • Ability to foster strong relationships with CASA staff, volunteers and community representatives to promote fundraising priorities.
  • Desire to be an ambassador for CASA’s vision and mission and display a high degree of diplomacy.
  • Commitment to exceptional service and alignment with CASA’s core values.

Conditions of Employment
  • A satisfactory Criminal Records Check. This would be the financial responsibility of the successful candidate.
  • Valid Canadian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Must be 15- to 30-years-old at the start of the employment period.
  • Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person under refugee protection.
  • Possess a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada.
