Your Role in Our Journey
The Event Planner plays a key role in both supporting and leading key client events. The planner is responsible to manage end to end planning and execution of in-person, hybrid and virtual events and programs. Additionally, this role will work closely with our Sr. Planners to manage key aspects of large events and lead pivotal areas of event management. Reporting to the Team Lead, Events, the planner will bring a detail-oriented and strategic lens to planning logistics and client experience, contributing to the overall success of each event. Relationship Building:

  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, vendors and partners;
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision, goals, and expectations for the event;
  • Ensure alignment with Redstone clients on communication channels and the preferred method and cadence for updates via meetings, emails, or reports;
  • Attend board and committee meetings and take minutes where necessary;
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure that the event is well executed and coordinated in a way that delivers on the clients’ vision.

Planning & Execution:

  • Lead end to end planning, ensuring timelines, deliverables and tasks are executed on time and to our client’s expectations;
  • Lead, manage and partner with vendors and venues aligned to event goals and objectives;
  • Take a proactive and innovative approach to delivering engaging and modern events;
  • Ensure flawless execution of deliverables through detailed preparation and coordination utilizing critical planning documents.

Learning, Growth & Team Contribution

  • Seek opportunities to enhance planning skills and industry knowledge;
  • Implement feedback from Senior Event Planners and Team Lead to build on skills and improve planning management and delivery;
  • Support documentation, reporting, and process-building initiatives.

You’ll Thrive in this Role if:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, Communications, Not-for-Profit Management, or a related field;
  • You have 1-3+ years of relevant, full-scope event planning experience which includes planning, executing, and delivering on complex, large scale, high attendee conferences, events and programs.

Serious Bonus Points if:

  • You have experience working at an agency, not-for-profit, or association management company;
  • You have a Digital Event Strategist (DES), Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), or a similar event designation is an asset;
  • You are bilingual in English / French.

Compensation Expectations for the Role:
We believe in fair, transparent, and growth-focused compensation. Our salary bands are designed to ensure equity across roles (and internally), with most new hires starting at the lower end to allow room for development and progression. That said, we recognize and reward experience—strong, seasoned candidates may start higher within the band.

$58,000 - $68,000 base salary based on experience.
