Description

Manages floor operations to achieve service excellence with a focus on customer service, staff leadership, performance management, and development. Achieves the overall goals of the organization through effective workforce and inventory cost control. This position reports directly to either an Operations Director or Director, Event Technology at locations producing greater than three million dollars in revenue.

Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Operations Management
  • Manage the daily floor activities and workflow of technicians to ensure equipment and services are delivered on time, in good condition, and as specified by clients and the hotel.
  • Provide direct supervision of team members including scheduling and time keeping.
  • Review and approve billing with clients and notify the Director and/or Sales Manager of potential challenges.
  • Update and complete daily equipment sheets.
  • Manage inventory control procedures to maintain proper inventory levels while ensuring safety, security, and quality assurance of equipment.
  • Attend BEO, Pre-Cons, and pre-production meetings as needed.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Customer Service
    • Review quotes and recommend cost efficiencies following company SOPs.
    • Supervise and mentor operational staff to ensure client satisfaction and revenue via onsite upselling.
    • Establish excellent working relationships with clients, team members, vendors, and neighboring properties to provide outstanding customer service.
    • Meet onsite with guests to ensure needs are met and equipment setup functions properly.
    • Maintain a professional image per Employee Guide and hotel standards.
  • People Development & Training
    • Promote a positive working environment aligned with ENCORE core values.
    • Hire, develop, lead, and motivate technicians and support staff.
    • Encourage professional development and training to improve business acumen, technical skills, and service quality.
    • Manage HR issues including performance, salary, and training.
    • Utilize company systems effectively and ensure team training.
    • Identify and recommend team members for additional training.
  • Job Requirements
    • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred.
    • 4+ years of AV and customer service/hospitality experience, including 2+ years supervisory experience or completion of ENCORE’s ADOP.
    • Experience leading workflows and teams.
    • Knowledge of AV equipment in live environments.
    • Proficiency with computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office and internet.
    • Strong leadership and customer satisfaction skills.
