Position Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to fill the role of Milwaukee Event Marketing Manager. As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Field Marketing Representative team and the end-to-end delivery of the demand creation strategy, involving our Work, Shop, and Learn verticals. The strategy involves the organization and strategic execution of large events, IC counter day selling executions, Home Depot FMR Pro Days, union and trade school engagement, and jobsite showcases, along with various other field marketing initiatives.

There will be periods of travel throughout the year around our executions. A successful candidate will also be expected to spearhead the professional development of your team and execute a formal plan within your own territory that will maximize impressions and POS utilizing the programs laid out by your National Marketing Manager. This role is intended to develop strategic planning on a regional scale along with exceptional executions across focused verticals.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and support the FMR team performance specific to the objectives (Work, Shop, Learn), budget, and flawless execution.
  • Manage the daily POS and Impression totals of the FMR team and provide current and monthly analysis of targets.
  • Design and manage the scheduling of all resources including FMR assignments and schedules, travel and logistics for all tools and equipment for multiple events that may take place simultaneously across multiple key stakeholders and areas.
  • Manage the inventory and security of all equipment and product for your region.
  • Provide key stakeholders within the region timely and consistent information on Field Marketing objectives and events.
  • Establish and manage POS and Impression targets for each school and assign these schools to the individuals on your team.
  • Manage trade school programming, including the utilization of the PCE, B2G1F, and Milwaukee Grad Perks program in your region.
  • Manage your team's budget spends, ensuring the appropriate budget is developed and managed throughout the year. Ensure that all team members are adhering to our Travel & Entertainment policy.
  • Manage the Milwaukee content and communication plan for pitches/presentations that will be delivered by the team in classroom/virtual settings.
  • Lead the asset management of your team, ensuring that regional event trailers are always show ready.
  • Ensure seamless onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Train reps on best practices regarding presentations, recaps, webinars, and virtual events.

  • Ability to develop strategic initiatives and ensure in-field execution success.
  • The ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Perfect your team’s delivery of category specific product pitches that will be part of all MIT and MIS executions.
  • Must possess a high level of Product Knowledge and understand not only features and benefits, but also applications in order to communicate the value and productivity in our catalogue.
  • Ability to develop an effective team culture based on clear expectations and support.
  • Travel to markets requiring help in planning and executing above.

What You Have Done

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in sales or related field is a benefit.
  • Experience in budget management and financial analysis.
  • Must be proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must possess exemplary leadership and operational skills.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
  • Prior experience leading and managing people is an asset.
