Events Coordinator – Community Engagement – Toronto

Job Title: Events Coordinator – Community Engagement
Location: Toronto (In-office)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced event coordinator with a passion for bringing people together within the Toronto Jewish community. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing engaging events while working collaboratively with a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement creative event concepts that align with the organization’s mission and goals.
  • Collaborate with team members, volunteers, vendors, and community partners to plan and execute successful events.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the Jewish community.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, and identify potential sources of additional funding to support events.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Develop marketing strategies to promote events effectively.
  • Oversee on-site event management, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for all attendees.
  • Monitor industry trends and incorporate innovative event strategies and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of event planning experience, preferably within a non-profit or community-based organization.
  • Extensive network of contacts within the Toronto Jewish community.
  • Proven track record of planning and executing successful events, including budget development and management.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with event planning software.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the values and culture of the Jewish community.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, as required for event execution.
