Event Coordinator – Full Time

The Community and Donor Engagement Team

Hamilton, Ontario

Salary: $46,600 - $57,400

Position: Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager and working closely with Community Engagement Coordinators and the Communications Team, the Event Coordinator will create exceptional end-to-end event experiences that deepen stakeholder relationships. Responsibilities include managing events from ideation to post-event activities.

Hours of Work/Location: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, with flexibility. Based in Hamilton, ON (1430 Main Street East, L8K 1C3), with occasional travel to other communities. Must have own vehicle and a valid “G” driver’s license; mileage paid outside local area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality events aligned with strategic plans
  • Identify and propose event opportunities for target audiences
  • Manage planning, management, and execution within budget and timelines
  • Develop work plans, schedules, and documentation for event staff
  • Coordinate promotion, media relations, invitations, registration, and sponsorships
  • Collaborate with staff and partners on program development
  • Manage budgets, venues, vendors, and volunteers
  • Oversee event logistics including catering, décor, technology, and AV
  • Attend events to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues
  • Conduct follow-up and analyze event performance based on KPIs and guest feedback
  • Coordinate with faith communities and government partners for promotional and funding activities
  • Develop strategies for third-party fundraising events

Qualifications:
