About us

Niricson is at the forefront of the digital revolution in civil infrastructure condition assessment and risk management. We utilize proprietary damage assessment sensors and software to facilitate a more accurate assessment of the integrity and safety of civil structures. Our innovative technologies collect data and provide actionable insights in a safer, more efficient, reliable, and accurate manner compared to traditional, subjective, manual methods that are time-consuming, inconsistent, costly, and dangerous.

As we expand our presence across North America and globally, we’re looking for an experienced, highly organized, and creative Event Coordinator to drive the execution of industry events that connect us with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Event Coordinator to lead all aspects of conference and event planning. You will manage our end-to-end presence at industry trade shows, expos, and professional events relevant to infrastructure inspection, dam safety, airports, and more.

In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind our external presence, ensuring every event is aligned with our brand, strategic goals, and budget. You’ll have the opportunity to build this function from the ground up, with increasing autonomy and resources as we grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full planning and execution of the company's participation in conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Manage the submission of technical abstracts and conference papers, submitting material accurately, on time, and covering the proper information.
  • Source, evaluate, and register for events in line with Niricson’s target sectors (civil infrastructure, asset owners, dam safety, airfields, etc.)
  • Coordinate all logistics, including trade show booths, brochures, and other promotional material.
  • Assist with Trade Booth Purchasing and promotional material purchases and decision-making.
  • Work with a defined budget to create maximum impact, negotiating with vendors and finding creative solutions when needed.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to tailor messaging, promotional items, and sales collateral for each event.
  • Handle event registrations, speaker applications, and sponsorships.
  • Monitor timelines, provide detailed briefings to team members attending, and troubleshoot when necessary.
  • Track event performance and add or remove events from future attendance based on feedback and new opportunities.
  • Perform other administrative or event-related tasks as assigned by your manager or requested by other staff.

We aim to provide as much support and guidance as is helpful to you, but we encourage you to help set the path forward - your ideas matter here!

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing B2B events, conferences, and trade shows (ideally in civil infrastructure, engineering, or related industries)
  • Resourceful and creative. You know how to stretch a budget while delivering high-quality experiences
  • Excellent project manager with strong time management and communication skills
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with tools such as Microsoft Excel and conference event platforms
  • Detail-oriented and calm under pressure, you thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
  • Comfortable managing multiple deadlines, vendors, and travel arrangements at once
  • Able and willing to travel occasionally to major industry events across North America (and beyond as needed)

Bonus Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in a startup or scale-up company
  • familiarity with civil infrastructure events and associations (e.g., ICOLD, AAAE, USSD, CEATI, etc.)
  • Graphic design or digital marketing experience to support event materials (Canva, Adobe Suite)

Key Success Attributes

  • Ownership –make and keep commitments to the team, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented –able to frame challenges, think critically, and design solutions from the ground up.
  • Curiosity & Learning – believes in continuous learning.

Diversity and Inclusion

Niricson is a diverse and inclusive equal-opportunity employer. We encourage diversity, and we thrive on it for the benefit of our employees, products, and our community. We are committed to fostering belonging through a diverse and inclusive workplace. We do not discriminate against any race, gender, religious affiliation, ethnicity, or any other demographic - instead, we celebrate diversity.

We’re a close-knit, mission-driven team that celebrates curiosity, diversity, and excellence. If that sounds like you, we can’t wait to meet you!

Pay : Base Salary ($50,000 to $60,000 depending on experience)

Benefits : Extended health benefits including dental and vision, Stock Options, Performance Bonus, 3 Weeks of Paid Vacation, and flexible working hours.
