Job summary

Global Human Resource Centre in Colborne, ON is seeking a Welder to join a team of skilled metalworkers. The position is term or contract or full time, with the evening shift starting as soon as possible.

Candidates must read welding drawings, interpret specifications, and operate manual or semi-automatic cutting equipment. English fluency and a certificate or diploma in trades are required, with 1–2 years' experience and ability to lift up to 23 kg.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English to communicate on the shop floor.
• Certificate or diploma in other trades.
• 1–2 years of experience in a related industry.
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
• Examine welds to ensure compliance with standards.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
• Operate brakes, shears, and metal shaping machines.
• Fit, brazing, and torch-straighten metal.
• Start, shut down, and monitor the robotic welding line.
