Job summary

Brandon University is seeking a part-time Building Service Worker I to support cleaning and maintenance across the campus and Healthy Living Centre. The role involves evening and weekend shifts, floor care, snow removal, and miscellaneous duties to keep facilities clean and safe.

The ideal candidate has Grade 12 or GED, 2+ years in institutional cleaning, a valid Class 5 license, and teamwork ability. The position is 49.6% regular with 18 hours/week and wage of $26.07 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 or GED with two years of institutional cleaning and groundskeeping experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Candidates must be physically capable of performing all aspects of the role, including repetitive tasks and lifting.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license; ability to work independently and as part of a team; physical demands assessment required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of Brandon University and Healthy Living Centre.
• Duties include cleaning, buffing and waxing floors, carpet care, auto scrubbing, changing light bulbs, snow/ice removal, bed-making in residences, washroom and window cleaning; dispose of garbage and recycling; move furniture; grounds maintenance; support during events.
