Job summary

Brookes Westshore School in Victoria is seeking a part-time Evening Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness across classrooms, dorms, dining hall and common areas. The role includes laundry duties and following health and safety protocols.

The schedule is Sunday to Thursday, 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of housekeeping experience, be able to lift 35 lbs, and work well with staff; First Aid/WHMIS are assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience as a housekeeper.
• Capable of lifting 35 lbs.
• Can work cooperatively with school staff.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Communicates respectfully, clearly and effectively.
• Able to maintain confidentiality.
• First Aid and WHMIS certificates are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, dusting and washing floors.
• Cleaning the dining hall after use, including mezzanine areas.
• Cleaning and sanitizing all bathrooms.
• Laundering bedding and clothes for boarding students.
• Other cleaning duties as needed.

Part-time Evening Housekeeper

Brookes Westshore School is currently looking for a part-time Housekeeper to join our team. The Housekeeper works to ensure the cleanliness of the campus and follows Health and Safety Protocols.

Position Summary:

The housekeeper is responsible for a variety of housekeeping duties that include maintaining the cleanliness of classrooms, dorm rooms, bathrooms, common areas and dining hall, as well as doing laundry.

Schedule Details:

Schedule is Sunday-Thursday 7:00pm-11:00 pm

Rate of pay and Benefits:

• $21.00 an hour plus 4% in lieu
• 2 weeks vacation

• 5 paid sick days after successful completion of 90 days employment

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

• vacuuming, dusting and washing floors
• cleaning the dining hall after use, along with the mezzanine areas
• cleaning and sanitizing all bathrooms
• laundering bedding and clothes for boarding students
• any other cleaning needs that may arise from time to time

The ideal candidate has the following skills and attributes:

• minimum of one year experience as a housekeeper
• is capable of lifting 35 lbs.

• communicates respectfully, clearly and effectively
• is able to maintain confidentiality
• First Aid and WHMIS certificates an asset
