Job summary

Riverstone Retirement Communities seeks a part-time Evening PSW for Willowbend Retirement to provide compassionate resident care within our community. This role emphasizes teamwork, empathy, and adherence to care plans while maintaining residents' dignity and comfort.

Shifts run 2pm-8pm (55 hours bi-weekly) or 3pm-11pm (30 hours bi-weekly), totaling 85 hours every two weeks. Prior geriatric care experience and PSW certification are preferred and valued in our supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• PSW/Health Care Attendant certificate or equivalent.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Two years or more experience, preferably geriatric.
• Empathy for and understanding of the needs of the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and receive shift reports at start and end of each shift.
• Receive direction from RPN and implement care plans.
• Provide personal care including hygiene, dressing and bathing as assigned.
• Order supplies and manage stock as needed.
• Set up and deliver meal trays and assist with feeding when required.
• Report changes in residents' conditions to nurse or DOC.
• Respond promptly to call bells and residents' requests.
• Maintain infection control protocols and document incidents.
