Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Bradford, Ontario is seeking a Personal Support Worker for a permanent part-time evening role. The position offers 30 hours per week, with shifts from 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The advertised pay is CA$25.51 per hour, aligned to the collective agreement. The PSW will join the long-term care team to support residents’ daily health, comfort, dignity and well-being. Responsibilities include assisting residents with activities of daily living, mobility support, and medication

Qualifications

• Completion of a Personal Support Worker program from an approved college or private institution.
• Knowledge of procedures and techniques for simple treatments and bedside care.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including eating, dressing, hygiene, and grooming, according to individual care plans.
• Support residents’ communication and use of sensory aids and mobility or assistive devices.
• Administer specific medication after prescribed training and under the supervision of a registered health professional.
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, spiritual, oral, and dental care and encourage participation in resident programs.
