Job summary

The Adult Learning Institute (ALI) seeks an experienced RN instructor to lead a Nursing Assistant course, including classroom and in-lab clinical experiences. The grant-funded ESOL program supports non-native English speakers, with an evening schedule of three nights per week (5:30-9:30pm).

The instructor will coordinate curriculum, conduct practical training, and evaluate competencies, in collaboration with ALI staff and the ESOL presence.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with at least two years' experience in a nursing home setting.
• Experience supervising and instructing Nurse Assistants is required.
• Evening course delivery and ESOL support familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach the nursing assistant curriculum as per NY State Health Department and NY State Education Department requirements.
• Coordinate theory and clinical components, track attendance and hours, proctor tests.
• Manage scheduling and collaborate with other teachers within the Health Occupations Academy at ALI.
