Job summary

Old-Castle-Building-Envelop in Calgary, AB, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the afternoon shift (3:00pm–11:00pm). The role includes inspection, repair and troubleshooting of plant equipment, with a $2.00 shift premium for this shift.

You will perform preventive maintenance, minor fabrication, and ensure safe operation of production machines while adhering to site safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years relevant work experience.
• Journeyman certification definite asset but not required; minimum year 3 apprentice.
• Experience using PLCs is an asset.
• Experience of Mig and Stick welding.
• Able to lift up to 75lbs and work in hot/cold environments.
• Willing to attend after-hours callouts and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot plant instrumentations and process equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance.
• Perform basic machinist duties and minor equipment fabrication.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, test, and adjust equipment.
• Ensure safety regulations and clean, orderly work areas.
