Job description

Job Description
The Day to Day :
  • Perform delegated tasks from Sous Chef, Chef and / or General Manager
  • Prepare food daily according to O&B standards
  • Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant
  • Maintain a prep list of station duties
  • Use FIFO method to maximize freshness
  • Assist in food inventory and control
  • Properly receive and store delivered items
  • Clean food prep areas, equipment, utensils, and adhere to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines
  • Follow WHMIS and MSDS guidelines strictly
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant
  • Culinary diploma or degree is an asset
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
  • Ability to take direction and work calmly under pressure
  • Ability to stand 100% of the time
