The Day to Day :

  1. Perform delegated tasks from Sous Chef, Chef, and / or General Manager
  2. Prepare food according to O&B standards
  3. Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications
  4. Maintain a prep list of station duties
  5. Follow FIFO method to maximize freshness
  6. Assist in food inventory and control
  7. Properly receive and store delivered items
  8. Clean food prep areas, equipment, utensils; adhere to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines
  9. Follow WHMIS and MSDS guidelines
  10. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant
  • Culinary diploma/degree is an asset
  • Understanding of professional cooking and knife skills
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Ability to stand 100% of the time
