Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an Evening Working Janitorial Supervisor to lead janitorial services and perform daily cleaning tasks. The role balances hands-on work with team coordination, quality oversight, and safety compliance, delivering consistent service and direct leadership to staff.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in janitorial work, with supervisory experience, strong organization, and the ability to train staff while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• College diploma or equivalent; or high school degree with significant experience in janitorial or custodial work.
• At least 3 years in janitorial or custodial work, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with staff and managers.
• Ability to train and develop employees and build teams.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleaning equipment and supplies are maintained and defects reported promptly.
• Conduct regular inspections and address issues to keep areas clean and well‑maintained.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure supplies/equipment are stocked.
• Train staff in cleaning techniques, GMP guidelines, and safety procedures.
• Ensure adherence to safety, security and environmental policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to avoid interference with operations.
• Maintain cleaning records, logs, work orders and inspection reports.
• Participate in safety meetings, training and hazard assessments.
