Job summary

Bethany Care Society in Red Deer, Alberta is seeking a Health Care Aide to provide outstanding care and support to residents, families and volunteers within their scope of practice. You will assist with daily living activities, promote resident independence, and uphold residents' dignity in a warm, compassionate environment.

Responsibilities include accurate documentation to the nursing team, contributing to safety, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 education and Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate.
• Registered with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Previous Health Care Aide experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment.
• Demonstrates ability to understand, speak, read and write effectively in English.
• Excellent observation, communication and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Document care and observations accurately in the health care record.
• Support safety and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with inter-disciplinary team to reassess care needs.
